Bill Jue Corpus Christi Caller Your exercising: I graduated from Senn High School in Chicago in 1969 and then earned a Bachelor of Arts in music from the Sherwood sunroom in Chicago in 1973. First job: Nike Flyknit Lunar 1 When I was ten yr old, I worked peeling shrimp at my family's eatery in Chicago. I learned not to enter in the restaurant business. Chief career break: Throughout university and college, I worked part-time for Wohl Shoe Company and after college, I began for them full time. I ran the shoe department at Carson Pirie Scott shopping district and they put me through management training. After doing that productively for five years, I asked to be transferred somewhere at the coast where it was warm. They moved me to Corpus Christi to run the women's shoe department at Lichenstein's shop in 1977.

Frost cousons bought Lichenstein's in 1977 and closed down in 1987. As an alternative to take a Nike Flyknit Mens job offer and leave Corpus Christi, I decide to open my own store here. Business level: I have invariably been at this location but have added space as it became available. I started with women's shoes and decorative accents including handbags and belts. I followed my customers and added clothing and then added men's shoes and apparel. My customers told me what they would look for and I would get it for them. Shoes have to be ordered four to six months before you go ahead. I know what shoes I have, So I order clothing that will trust the shoes. Many of my customers were coming in with assorted foot problems and were not able to find shoes that fit properly. I invested in an Aetrex machine that captures information to be able to be fitted with the right orthotics insert. Business beliefs: I try to run my company honestly, With great respect for my customers and advanced know-how about computers fitting shoes. I try to combine comfort with fashion while allowing the prospect freedom of choice. How would you help Coastal Bend's business climate? The area should encourage easier destination carry routes both on ground and air. City patrons are the life of business and the customers must be trained to shop locally. Whatever is on the market elsewhere is ultimately available locally. How has your business changed with today's economic crisis? The overall economy has impacted planning inventory purchases because a viable business must be able to meet the customers' needs. The uncertain economy makes the future very volatile.
