"People have said, 'Your posts really made my day,' or 'Your picture helped me get up this morning,' and that's a really good feeling," he says. "I love to make other people happy."A serious cycler, Max completed a 100 mile course during the Rochester Tour de Cure, sponsored by the American Diabetes Association, in 2013.He bikes with the Rochester Cycling Club, and mounts a GoPro camera to his handlebars or to his helmet to create photographs and videos of his sports activities against a backdrop of the city's parks, skyline and public spaces.He also often uses the phone app Aperture to give his photos a creative boost."He's a smart, interested young guy who clearly is very engaged with his surroundings and has a healthy visual appetite," says Bleu Cease, executive director at Rochester Contemporary Art Center on East Avenue.
